Banik beer!

In September 2008, in cooperation with the brewery Ostravar, we started a project entitled Our football beer. We empowered all Silesian fans of football and beer by enabling them to create their very own custom-made beer.

Over a four-month period of cooperation, we gradually selected not only its taste, color and alcohol content, but we also proposed 1,500 names. We made our choice, and decided what kind of glass it will be poured into in pubs. In the last round, we gave the Ostravar beer Bazal a face, when we selected amongst three offered label and logo designs. Watch this short video where we summarize the current status of the project, which will come to a frothy head at the end of this March. That's when Bazal will start being tapped in pubs, and when it will also appear on store shelves. It will be sold with 22 different labels with faces of people from Ostrava and its surroundings, who decided to give this football beer its own visage. We organized a two-day photo shoot at the beginning of December in Ostrava, where anyone interested in turning up on the Bazal bottle could take part. Of all the photographed faces, we then selected the best pictures. You can see the results in the attached photographs. Ostravar Bazal isn’t even on the market yet, and already 70 articles have been written about it in regional and national press alike, with more coming out every day. We collected over 12,000 opinions about how the football beer should look, and over 70,000 football fans had a look at the project.
